As Tennessee’s premier security company, we are THRILLED to announce our expansion into East Tennessee with the opening of a new branch in beautiful Chattanooga! This is a huge milestone for us – going from a single office with 20 employees in 2017 to four offices with 80+ employees in 2021 feels surreal…but it’s our reality!
On July 1st, we officially acquired Action Alarms of Chattanooga, which is based in Fort Oglethorpe, GA and has proudly served Chattanooga and surrounding areas for over 30 years with alarm installation and monitoring services. They have a well-deserved reputation as a respectable family-owned business under the direction of Don and Linda Morgan, and we’re honored to be carrying on that legacy.
Our owner, Aaron Whitaker, has hopes for a bright future with this new office: “Our purpose at Preventia is to help people sleep at night and to get the most out of their day. Don & Linda Morgan have done a wonderful job serving the same purpose and we are excited to continue in their footsteps.”
To achieve our mission to the fullest, we’ve set a long-term goal to shield 75,000 homes and businesses across the Southeast. Expanding further East was critical, and when we were searching for a potential location for our fourth office, Chattanooga was a clear standout. Chattanooga has been experiencing lightning-fast development of its own over the past several years, and if you were to visit today you’d be taken aback by how the charm of a historic small city effortlessly complements the cultural and technological advances of a rapidly-growing metropolis.
According to Whitaker, “Chattanooga has been on our wish list for several years because of requests from current customers to help serve them there. Plus, we were attracted to the type of people and the community there. This was the perfect opportunity to make our wish a reality.”
Existing customers in the Chattanooga area will continue to see the same friendly faces on their doorsteps and talk to the same service professionals on the phone – they’ll just be wearing Preventia’s signature red, black, and gray colors! The new office joins our three other branches, located in Columbia (home base), Lafayette, TN, and Albany, GA.
